A look back at 2019

Well hello, 2020! As we’re reaching the end of January, it’s probably a bit late to be wishing a ‘Happy New Year’ – but we hope it’s not too late to take our annual look back at the year that’s just been and gone.

We had a wonderful (and quite busy 2019) at Brayer Design. Here are just some of the highlights…

JANUARY

In January, we were delighted to receive a ‘Best in Service’ Houzz award for 2019 and we’re proud to have (to date) 36 amazing 5-star reviews from happy clients on our Houzz profile.

FEBRUARY

2019 was the year of the Midnight Blue shaker kitchen for Brayer Design. At the end of 2018, we’d just started sharing images from our studio kitchen and over the year, we continued to receive a lot of love on Instagram for this handsome classic shaker kitchen design.

Check out this design ‘in-detail’ here.

MARCH

In March, we were extremely excited to share that one of our pantry cabinet designs was used as the main image for an article in The i News. The article delved into the modern kitchen phenomenon known as ‘Pantry Porn’.

Intrigued? Find out more about the article here.

APRIL

Springtime is always a very busy period for us, so while our designers and makers were busy getting on with projects, we shared some advice about which renovation works have the potential to add the most value to your home.

MAY

May was a month filled with exciting announcements and new additions. As well as adding a new section to our website to showcase our Bedroom projects, we also had a couple of new projects to share including the fabulous Scandi Style Kitchen for a home in Tunbridge Wells and luxury master bedroom and ensuite – plus a home renovation project completed in collaboration with Jane Berry Interiors in Wimbledon.

JUNE

In June, we shared not one but TWO brand new completed kitchens. The first was our Wimbledon Modern Shaker Kitchen created with Hoban Design – and the second was our Kingswood Kitchen created with interior designer, Emma Merry. Both of which were very well received on Instagram…

Here’s a pretty pale green pantry from a brand new kitchen we’ve just installed for a project in Wimbledon with @HobanDesign. Simple shaker cabinets with no crown molding and large, modern rectangular recessed pulls come together to create a contemporary take on a classic style. Swipe left to see how this pantry cabinet with breakfast station opens up fully, thanks to its neat and practical pocket doors. ⠀ ⠀ And if you like this, just wait until you see the rest… ! ⠀ ⠀ With thanks to @nicksmithphoto for another brilliant shoot. ⠀ ⠀ #kitchens #pantry #kitchenlove #kitchencabinets #breakfast #pocketdoors #kitchendesign #kitchenlove #pantryorganization #pantrygoals #shakercabinets #shakerstyle #shakerkitchen #greenkitchen #instakitchen #kitcheninspiration #kitcheninspo #kitchenideas #kitcheninterior #kitchendesignideas #kitchendecor #modernkitchen #countrykitchen #kitchenstyle #kitchengoals #kitchendetails #shakerkitchens #kitchenrenovation

JULY

After a busy month, we finally got round to adding a project page for the Kingswood Kitchen allowing us to share more about this cosy, cottage-style space.

AUGUST

In August, we had more camera phone snaps to share following a couple more completed projects, including a bespoke dressing room and a white modern handleless kitchen design…

SEPTEMBER

Back to school time seemed like the perfect opportunity to drop some knowledge over on the blog with a post all about choosing the right handles for your kitchen cabinets.

OCTOBER

In October, we handed over the reins to Cullifords, as they provided a guest post taking us through the latest design trends in the world of worktops. We were also thrilled to share some shots from another fabulous collaboration with Deborah Beaumont Interiors, involving the design and installation of bespoke TV/media wall for a home in Wimbledon…

NOVEMBER

November brought on the announcement of another couple of kitchens. The first was in Balham and was a collaboration with MWB London. And the second was the beautifully stylish, minimalist and modern Chobham Kitchen.

DECEMBER

In the final month of the year, we were thrilled to see ourselves listed as having the second most popular kitchen tour on Houzz for our Wimbledon modern shaker design. A lovely early Christmas present and a fantastic end to the year.

We just can’t wait so see what’s in store for 2020!
