UPDATE: Following the Government’s announcement on 31st October 2020 regarding the second national lockdown which will come into effect on Thursday 5th November, Brayer Design will continue to follow the measures set-out below in order to keep our clients and employees safe during this time. Our business will remain open but with our design office staff working remotely, our cabinet making team working in a safe and socially distanced way in the workshop and with home installations only going ahead if it is safe to do so.

If you have any questions about this, please feel free to get in touch using one of the methods on our contact page.

At Brayer Design, we’d like to let you know more about how we’ve adjusted our way of working to ensure minimal disruption to our operations while keeping the safety of our clients and employees a priority.

Firstly, all of our design team are currently working from home and available during normal office hours by telephone and email. Working remotely, our designers are able to continue largely undisrupted, answering questions over the phone and sending design plans and visuals via email. If necessary, we are able to conduct one-to-one consultations in our showroom, but these are by appointment only. Hand sanitiser will be provided and a distance of at least 2 metres must be kept between the client and designer at all times. We are also able to conduct video calls, if needed.

On-site visits are being avoided wherever possible but where precise dimensions are required, one employee will arrange to enter the client’s home to take these measurements and only when it is safe and responsible to do so – again, using hand sanitiser and keeping a good distance from clients at all times.

In our workshop, we are currently working with a reduced team so that we’re able to strictly adhere to government guidelines on working at a safe distance of at least 2 metres apart. Hand sanitiser is available in all areas of the workshop which we encourage employees to use regularly and our cleaning staff have been working hard to make sure that surfaces and equipment are disinfected daily.

Members of our installation team are also able to continue carrying out their work in reduced numbers, provided that they are able to do so without any clients or other tradespeople present.

We hope this information about the measures we’re taking in response to the threat of Coronavirus is useful and we’ll continue to monitor and update our approach based on the latest government guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff and clients.

We thank you for your understanding and we send our best wishes to everyone during this challenging time.
