TWICKENHAM KITCHEN

Mixing modern finishes with retro influences, this sleek kitchen-dining room was designed for our clients’ Victorian semi-detached home in Twickenham.

The contrast between the simple finish of the grey-matt lacquered cabinets and the pronounced grain of the textured cross-cut veneered oak is a key feature of this design. Cube edge handles help complete the look. The luxurious worktops and splashback are natural Carrara Marble (as opposed to marble-effect) which have been honed to give an attractive matt effect.

The textured oak of the island, extra cabinetry and kitchen cabinet interiors is also used to great effect in the design of the slatted TV surround on the opposite wall to the kitchen – for a cohesive and super-stylish living space.

As well as the kitchen furniture and TV surround, an upholstered bench-seat and oak dining table with a raised edge were designed and created to match the style of the rest of the room. The bench seat also lifts to provide extra storage for this modern open-plan kitchen and living area.
