wIMBLEDON CLASSIC CONTEMPORARY KITCHEN

When it comes to kitchen design, socialising spaces are often as important as the cooking area, and our Wimbledon-based clients wanted their open-plan home to maximise all of the entertaining opportunities available to them.

One key area within this design was the kitchen island. This handleless shaker island, combined with hand veneered Silver Sand Dune wood, offers a statement focal point to the room; and the integrated bespoke seating area provides a comfortable and functional space for the client’s friends and family to enjoy all year round. 

Features of this luxury island include an integrated Quooker fusion 3-in-1 brass hot tap, a Bora pure X hob with a downdraft, a statement quartz worktop with a waterfall edge, plus a breakfast bar area with comfortable and spacious seating for two people.

Along the back wall of the kitchen, we installed functional and stylish tall shaker kitchen cabinets with concealed hinges. These particular cabinets discretely contain a Miele fridge/freezer, oven and dishwasher, and bespoke larder storage. Other key features within this area of the kitchen include a luxury stone splashback with concealed lighting under the ledge and a large Kohler cast iron sink.

We also crafted and installed a beautiful pantry with Crittal style doors with integral architrave detailing and Montgomery lever handles. Not only is this pantry a statement piece within itself, but it also offers fantastic storage for our clients.

To finish off the space, we also designed a standalone open-shelf unit that was conveniently placed to create a low wall at the top of the client’s staircase.
